If you have any questions about the costs or different MetLife Plans, please give us a call. We'd be happy to take care of this for you before you come into our office. Most MetLife plans have a 20-30% savings for our patients, so it is important to make sure your dentist is in-network for your MetLife plan. If you have a MetLife PPO plan and visit a provider who is not in-network BUT takes or “accepts” MetLife you will not get the discount prices and your out-of-pocket costs will be much higher. Many patients are misled to think that all MetLife dentists are in-network providers. Not all MetLife Dentists are In-Network Providers

MetLife plans rarely cover all expenses in full but they generally have better benefits for our patients. However, the good news is MetLife dentists on this plan are able to provide you with better benefits such as night guards for patients who grind their teeth at night, dental sealants, orthodontics or invisalign, and dental implants. Typically this plan requires you to pay more per month or out of your paycheck. However, in order to get your full benefits ( discounted insurance prices, full coverage on treatment, etc.), you need to see a MetLife Dentist (in-network). It is a PPO plan, which means you can see just about any dentist you like. MetLife PPO is, as its name implies, is MetLife's PPO plan.

There are two basic types of MetLife insurance that your employer may offer - PPO and HMO. Tsai and her team have been MetLife providers for many years, and are an exception to this difficulty. Despite its size, patients may have difficulty locating a reputable MetLife dentist within their network. MetLife, the second largest dental insurance provider in California, offers one PPO and one HMO plan nationwide.
